Rental Operations Agent

Rental Operations Agent is responsible for helping customers with their various needs when renting vehicles and for marketing the company's services and products. This role includes customer contact, handling and processing rental agreements and payments, and providing information about rental prices and policies. A Rental Operations Agent may also be responsible for checking in and out vehicles, performing inspections, and upselling products and services. This role typically requires a capacity for exceptional customer service, the ability to sell, and the ability to work in a high-paced environment.

Some specific responsibilities for a Rental Operations Agent may include:

• Welcome customers and listen to their needs to determine the best rental option
• Manage rental agreements and payments, provide information about rental costs, policies, and available vehicles
• Upsell additional products and services, such as insurance and GPS navigation systems
• Describe and clarify the final cost for customers and ensure that the customer signs the rental agreement
• Assist customers with directions and travel information
• Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork
• Perform daily backoffice tasks (handle emails, prepare station reports)
• Inspect vehicles to identify damages or problems and document them using appropriate tools and evaluate if any necessary changes are required
• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles and ensure that the vehicle is prepared for the next rental
• Ensure that the parking area for rental vehicles is organized and well-maintained
• Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional manner and in a timely manner
• Ensure that safety and security regulations are always followed

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent education level
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Previous experience in sales or customer service, especially from the car rental industry, retail, or hospitality industry, with 1-2 years preferred
• Valid B driver's license without any endorsements
• Open to working flexible schedules, including weekends
• Proven skills in communication with other people
• A natural team player
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform well in a high-paced environment
• A friendly, optimistic, and proactive attitude
