Avis Budget Group Customer Service Assistant

We are looking for assistance at our counters to serve our valued customers. Based at the busy Auckland Airport and feeling the pulse of the city as travellers come and go - you will enjoy the excitement of assisting people on journeys!

Full-time (40-hours per week) position available

Auckland Airport based

Entry level position with training provided

We operate 7 days a week, on a rotating roster so there will be a requirement for you to work early mornings (from 6.30 am), afternoons, nights (until 2 am), weekends and public holidays as required.

About the role:

From our customer counter you will greet and interact with customers, assist with their rental needs, promote and market products and services, and complete rental transactions, contracts, and bookings. You will also assist with general customer enquiries and finding resolutions to queries. To ensure our customers always get the best experience, you will also be required to inspect vehicles for damages and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing customer car rental needs by actively listening
  • Reviewing in detail our various add-ons and services as to determine what may best suit the customer
  • Communicating rental procedures and guidelines effectively
  • Completing rental bookings and processing payments in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner
  • Answering customer questions and enquiries

What we are looking for:

  • Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service, sales, or similar roles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Comfortable learning and using various computer systems / hand-held devices to accurately input rental information (training will be provided)
  • Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
