Contribute to the achievement of the commercial objectives of the APAC region team assigned by providing a comprehensive, professional & proactive technical support service to customers in order to support the consistent and high-quality performance of Aviagen products and as per customer need, fostering repeat sales.
Lead APAC Regional Technical Services team in the development of strong relationships and provision of technical service to our customers in the Asia Pacific regions, allowing us to respond effectively to the challenges of growth within our industry as well as increasing sales revenue.
Primary responsibilities include management and leadership of the Asia Pacific Region Technical Services team who service our customers within the region and supporting the Asia, Regional Technical Service Manager in development and implementation of assigned team action plan.
Build and lead the region's technical team by setting objectives, reviewing performance, developing and motivating team members. This includes training & development of talents via mentorship, projects or formal learning.
Ensure that all assigned team technical activities are focused and aligned with the regional business objectives, and set SMART performance goals for regional team in conjunction with key stakeholders.
Ensure that key customers are identified and visited on a regular planned basis, working with them to develop and implement Product Improvement Plans to address technical issues and improve economic return for both Aviagen and the customer.
Coordinate specialized support to ensure appropriate support from specialist on issues of nutrition, incubation, product analysis, ventilation or veterinary health and ensure relevant advice and guidance is provided.
Collect and Analyze Data to ensure that information on product and customer issues are gathered to enable performance tracking, inputting of data into relevant Aviagen systems.
Provide a monthly, Bi-monthly report regarding to the technical resource issues, priorities, development needs and progress, and other ad hoc report as required.
Work with international technical service colleagues to share knowledge; provide input to the development of global objectives and technical information.
Contribute to bi-annual RTM / R&D meeting to provide regional performance update and key regional issues to R&D.
Develop and manage the Asia Technical team budget ensuring control procedures are in place, costs are managed efficiently while seeking continuous improvement to service standards.
Ensure administrative routines and procedures are followed (e.g. monthly reports, expenses) to enable efficient communication and management control.
Over 15+ years of senior level experience in poultry breeding, veterinary sciences, or commercial poultry operations.
Degree in Agricultural Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture or Animal Nutrition.
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with all levels of management and staff (internal and external).
Experience in budgetary control.
Being a role model to demonstrate corporate values to the wider technical team.
Willingness to travel regionally / relocation (if required).
