In our plant in Kreuzlingen, we have been producing acrylate adhesives for a wide range of self-adhesive products for over 35 years with around 100 employees. The sustainable improvement and optimization of our products is an important corporate goal of Avery Dennison and our plant in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland, on Lake Constance.

To strengthen our Technical Service Team, we are currently looking for a Technical Service Chemist - Performance Polymers at the location Kreuzlingen, Thurgau with direct reporting line to our Technical Service Manager.

What to Expect from Us? - Your Responsibilities:

  • Technical Consulting with Passion: As an expert in our acrylate adhesives, you are an important link between our technical, research & development, and sales departments.
  • Reliable Partnership: Through your close collaboration with colleagues and customers in Europe (approx. 20% travel time for customer visits) and the USA (approx. 5% travel time for internal meetings), you understand their specific requirements, develop tailored product solutions, and open up new application possibilities to further expand our market share.
  • From Concept to Market Readiness: You accompany new products from development to market launch and ensure during the product qualification process that they are ready for production start.
  • Solution Finding and Knowledge Transfer: In addition to conducting training and workshops (virtually or on-site), you analyze and solve challenges related to coating, material, processing, and application together with your customers.
  • Satisfaction as the Highest Goal: You are only satisfied when our customers are satisfied!

What Do We Expect from You? - Your Qualifications:

  • Completed Degree preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science or a related field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the fields of Acrylate Polymer Technologies, Adhesives and/or Coatings, as well as experience in product development and technical B2B sales or service consulting of advisory-intensive products, ideally in an international matrix organization
  • In-depth knowledge of polymerization, characterization, and curing processes
  • Experience in customer support and project execution
  • Fluent German, English, and Italian skills
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for innovation, entrepreneurial thinking to build sustainable projects and start your career at Avery Dennison
