Summary: A HR Analyst performs a variety of clerical, coordination, and administrative activities specific to the human resources function. This role proactively identifies potential workplace concerns and implements targeted interventions to maintain a positive work environment.

Representative Activities: Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate, administer, and deliver employee relations, staffing, and organizational development services to an assigned functional area, site(s), business unit, or geographical territory.
  • Manage and update information in various systems (Learning Management System) and in SIRCE (Corporate Training Registration System).
  • Duties include data input, transactional duties, word processing, report development, and tracking of data.
  • Check personnel-related documents for accuracy and completeness, maintaining files and records of a confidential nature, and preparing periodic standardized reports.
  • Answers general questions and inquiries in all areas of human resources.
  • Completes special assignments and projects as required.
  • Processes various applications, employment, enrollment, pay change, informational, and other confidential forms and records.
  • Maintains and distributes as appropriate, current employee information, policy and procedure manuals, and other communications.
  • Conduct and summarize internal and external surveys to gather information for policy development and planning.
  • May perform higher level duties involving employee communications, such as pre-employment screening, responding to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures, identifying potential issues and grievances, etc.

HRIS Transactional Focus:

  • Works closely with Field HR and BU Management to provide transactional support associated with all employee life cycle related activities.
  • Manage all HRMS data transactions and data input.
  • Review and record new hires, pay rates, and changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, direct deposits, etc., in computer file.
  • Research root cause of issues and assist with the resolution efforts.
  • Provide Management Reporting for all HR related Systems.
  • Handle all SOX testing and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Drive for continuous improvement, standardization, and simplification of HR transactional processes associated with the Employee Life Cycle.
  • Work closely with the Corporate HRIS Team to make recommendations, gather requirements, and test future enhancements and improvements of the HR Systems.
  • Ensure the adherence to policy and process guidelines that drive standardization and simplification.
  • HRIS supports many HRIS systems that support the HR organization such as HRMS (PeopleSoft), Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Benefits and Compensation Management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years prior administrative assistant or HR Assistant related experience preferred.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable on area assigned.
  • Accurate typing, spelling, and grammar skills required.
  • Broad understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Skilled in multitasking, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Good customer service, verbal, and writing skills.
  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and function specific software.
