Avera Health Temporary Position
Serves as at-the-elbow EMR support across the Avera footprint for physicians and advanced practice providers during Epic go-live and early stabilization. This role focuses on real-time assistance to help clinicians navigate workflows, documentation, order entry, and common troubleshooting.
What You Will Do:
- Provides real-time, in-person EMR support to physicians and APPs by navigating the EMR interface.
- Assists with documentation, workflows, order entry, and in-basket management.
- Assists with escalation of technical issues or workflow barriers to the appropriate IT support teams.
- Maintains professionalism, discretion, and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participates in EMR training is required prior to go-live, with additional training available depending on site of placement.
- Ability to travel.
- Demonstrates professionalism and patience while assisting physicians and APPs during time-sensitive workflows.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Medical Doctor/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO) current medical student in good academic standing
- Strong technical aptitute--ability to learn new software
