Resident Services Coordinator

Are you passionate about creating great resident experiences, especially during times of transition? We're seeking a Resident Services Coordinator to join our team and serve as the key point of contact for residents during property renovation and rehabilitation. In this role, you'll help ensure residents feel informed, supported, and satisfied throughout the process, upholding AvalonBay's customer service standards every step of the way.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a trusted resource for residents, providing clear communication about community operations, services, and renovation timelines.
  • Respond promptly to resident requests and concerns, working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver timely resolutions.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, leasing, concierge, and management staff to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Support the implementation of community policies and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and all relevant laws.
  • Champion a culture of service and support, helping residents feel heard, valued, and cared for during property upgrades.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Experience: 0–1 year in multifamily leasing, hospitality, retail, or other customer service-related industries.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
    • Basic math and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
    • Ability to resolve problems efficiently and empathetically
    • Comfortable presenting to small groups and managing resident interactions
  • Requirements:
    • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move around the community as needed
