Medical Editor

We're looking for a Medical Editor to join our Global Marketing, Creative team in London or Brighton. In this role, you'll provide high-quality editorial support across a diverse portfolio of global marketing client accounts, ensuring materials are clear, accurate, compliant, and delivered to the highest standards. You'll bring strong editorial expertise, a sharp eye for detail, and a collaborative mindset—while also helping shape best practice, including the thoughtful use of AI-assisted editorial approaches.

Your work will directly support the creation of compelling, credible scientific narratives—shaping clear, accurate, and engaging content across a wide range of materials, from advertising to detail aids and digital assets to broader promotional communications.

What you'll do:

  • Copyedit and proofread a wide range of materials, including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slides, digital content, and advertising assets.
  • Review materials thoroughly for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Perform fact and data checking when required.
  • Maintain consistency across projects and uphold overall editorial quality.
  • Develop, maintain, and apply editorial style guides, including client-specific guidelines and reference packs.
  • Communicate proactively with project teams to support smooth and timely delivery.
  • Provide constructive editorial guidance and suggestions to improve style, grammar, and content.
  • Coach and support colleagues to help avoid common writing errors and uphold editorial best practice.
  • Explore and advocate for responsible, effective AI-assisted editorial approaches.

About you:

  • Strong prior experience in medical and/or scientific editing, ideally within a medical communications or healthcare advertising agency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills.
  • Confident working across multiple asset types and therapeutic areas.
  • Strong understanding of editorial standards, style guides, and quality control processes.
  • Clear and professional communicator who works well with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable using judgment to determine the appropriate level of editing for different projects.
  • Curious, proactive, and open to new ways of working, including AI-enabled tools.
  • Collaborative, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent work while supporting others.

What we can offer:

You'll receive up to a 7% pension contribution, life insurance, income protection, and private medical insurance for peace of mind. Enjoy flexible working arrangements, including flexible hybrid working, along with the option to work from anywhere across the globe two weeks each year. We provide 25 days of annual leave plus two personal well-being days, along with gifted end-of-year holidays and an early Summer Friday finish in June, July, and August.

Access free counselling through our employee assistance program, as well as personalized health support. Enhanced maternity, paternity, family leave, and fertility policies provide support across every stage of your family-planning journey, as well as on-demand support from our partner Peppy. You can also benefit from continuous opportunities to professionally develop with on-demand training, support, and global mobility opportunities across the business.
