Job Title
The commercial specialist (CS) ensures maximum productivity, drives commercial sales, controls and economizes expenses, and obeys company procedures in accordance with AutoZone's expectations. The commercial specialist exceeds customer expectations by offering WOW! customer service in all AZ commercial accounts by living the promise every day.
Responsibilities:
- Assists commercial accounts with select merchandise
- Assumes responsibility for the commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager
- Maintains a safe workspace and ensures AutoZoners implement those practices
- Maintains billing records for commercial accounts
- Visits commercial accounts and ensures accounts are served and deliveries are made as promised
- Follows established cash handling obligations, including but not limited to deposits, collecting accounts, and line responsibility
- Creates new accounts with potential customers, in face-to-face meetings or by phone
- Obeys handling rules and ensures commercial products are delivered on time and in excellent condition
- Ensures the creation of appropriate documents for each delivery
- Properly maintains the vehicle(s) and takes necessary measures to report vehicle maintenance issues
- Ensures battery consign programs are restocked every week
- Follows appropriate procedures against accidents
- Processes returns and reconciles accounts
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of auto parts is required
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs including holidays, evenings, and weekend shifts
