Building Engineer

The Building Engineer will be responsible for completing work orders and troubleshooting/repairing various systems throughout the campus in South Austin. The ideal candidate will be versatile and willing to assist in multiple areas and trades such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general interior maintenance including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.
• Conduct special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, and handling tenant service requests.
• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Assist the operations team with maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts.
• Ensure good housekeeping and maintain safety in work areas.

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of facility maintenance experience, with a preference for commercial settings.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in general computer skills and familiarity with email, Internet, and Microsoft Word.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• OSHA & EPA Certifications are preferred.

Work Environment:

Work at the well-maintained campus in South Austin, where you will be exposed to high-tech equipment and systems. The role includes an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, between 6 am and 6 pm, with occasional Saturday work as needed.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
