Project Support Engineer – Security Technology

At Auror, we're empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 billion problem globally. It's high volume crime that's increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.

Founded in New Zealand 11 years ago, we're working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We're using technology for good.

In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you're looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.

As a Project Support Engineer – Security Technology you play a critical role in one of the largest physical security rollouts in the world. Your contribution ensures the effectiveness and compliance of Walmart's LPR systems, directly enabling Walmart to meet their scale targets and reduce retail crime in their stores. You will be employed by Auror, but contracted to Walmart. The role is based at Walmart Home Office, and requires availability to work night shifts.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct technical validation of LPR and CCTV systems to meet strict performance thresholds.
  • Provide advanced technical support for field teams and integrators.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues; escalate as needed.
  • Develop technical bulletins and documentation for recurring challenges.
  • Verify system integration and programming across technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to engineer scalable solutions.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce cycle time and increase validation success.

This role reports to Alaina Kring, Director of Retail Partnerships.

With a foundation in law enforcement and over a decade of senior leadership experience in the retail industry, I currently serve as the Director of Retail Partnerships, where I lead the global strategy and growth of Auror's largest global customer account. Throughout my career, I've remained grounded in a servant leadership philosophy—prioritizing people, purpose, and performance. I'm passionate about developing and empowering high-performing teams, building trusted relationships, and driving long-term, sustainable revenue growth. I bring a unique blend of operational expertise, strategic thinking, and a people-first mindset to every initiative. My focus is not only on delivering measurable business outcomes but also on creating environments where teams can thrive, innovate, and grow together.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cooking southern food, and relaxing at home.
