Primary duties include performing routine work with limited review, responding to customer service requests, installing and operating wireless meter reading equipment, and ensuring responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and reports, reading meters, and recording usage for billing.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 months related experience, demonstrated Service Technician 1 skill proficiency, and a valid driver's license. Additional qualifications include completing assigned classes, Operator Qualifications (OQ), and OJT specific to Service Learning Path.
The position requires the ability to utilize the company's internet/intranet web site for data entry, reference, and retrieval tasks. Effective communication skills with internal and external customers are essential.
Work conditions involve entry to customer premises, working outdoors in all types of weather, and exposure to various physical demands including lifting, bending, and walking significant distances. The role may also require residence due to call-out response time.
