Construction Operator, Service Technician, Or Distribution Operator – Gunnison, CO

Job Opportunity in Gunnison, Colorado

Position is located in Gunnison, Colorado. Residency requirements apply. May be hired as a Construction Operator, Service Technician, or Distribution Operator dependent upon qualifications and experience. Full time. CDL-A preferred. All training provided. Relocation assistance may be considered. Benefits eligibility on day of hire. Hourly pay rate: Service or Construction: $26.50 - $34.00 Distribution Operator: $38.75 - $41.50

Primary duties include performing basic, routine work using clearly prescribed procedures, assisting in the installation and maintenance of natural gas lines, meters and regulators, and completing and maintaining accurate records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements. Other duties/responsibilities include holding stand-by duty, working shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency call outs, and occasional extended hours, reporting outside regular work area, identifying, addressing, and reporting safety and encroachment issues, and demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company's values, strategies, policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements include a general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED), a valid driver's license in accordance with Company standards, and obtaining and maintaining position Operator Qualifications (OQs) and classroom training for position and any other required OQs and classroom training or certifications.

Physical demands include the ability to lift 88 pounds from the ground to 38 inches, carry 88 pounds a distance of 5 feet, generate 100-foot pounds of pulling force at a contact point of 25 inches, and bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch. Other requirements include pre and post employment screenings, including drug testing as outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), and motor vehicle record (MVR) background checks.
