Product Engineering Technician 2

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift

Days: Monday – Thursday

Hours: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Position Summary

The Product Engineering Technician 2 is a key member of the Product Engineering team, providing direct support to the production line. This role focuses on disassembly, reassembly, jig creation and maintenance, troubleshooting, and training to ensure efficient operational performance and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mobile phone and PC troubleshooting, as well as familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS and Android).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for production line issues, including disassembly, unlocking processes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Create, test, maintain, and update jigs for new and existing product models.
  • Track, charge, and maintain battery jigs, tools, and production equipment.
  • Maintain and update training materials, documentation, and test procedures.
  • Deliver hands-on training and skill development for production line operators.
  • Partner with Engineering to develop and implement new feature test processes and improvements.
  • Support systems including Blancco, DAX, OEM unlock software, and other tools.
  • Assist with root cause analysis investigations and document findings.
  • Escalate complex technical issues appropriately.
  • Support additional projects or production lines as needed.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong proficiency in consumer electronics troubleshooting and testing.
  • Experience with mobile OEM platforms and operating systems (iOS/Android).
  • Experience with device disassembly and reassembly.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Experience with testing, validation, and documentation processes.
  • Experience with mobile device diagnostics or content clearing preferred.

Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree or 2-year technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Technology; or 3–4 years of relevant electrical/electronic experience.
