 
                                                
                                            Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned enterprise clients, providing proactive communication and exceptional service.
Develop a deep understanding of each client's payroll tax structure, operations, and compliance needs.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with client payroll and finance teams to ensure consistent, compliant tax operations.
Conduct regular client review meetings to discuss performance metrics, outstanding items, and upcoming deadlines.
Manage client cases and inquiries to ensure timely, accurate, and thorough resolution in line with service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure timely setup and maintenance of all client tax types and agencies, including registration updates, rate/frequency changes, and authorization management.
Monitor and manage SUI (State Unemployment Insurance) rate updates, tax payment frequencies, and ID number maintenance to prevent compliance issues.
Partner with clients to resolve payroll tax exceptions, unfiled returns, unpaid balances, or missing agency registrations.
Collaborate closely with clients during quarterly and year-end processing to ensure full compliance and accurate reconciliation.
Support variance analysis and tax reconciliation efforts to ensure accuracy across all filings and payments.
Work with internal teams to address funding discrepancies, NSFs, or payment reversals promptly and accurately.
Provide guidance and technical assistance on the APTM platform and related systems, ensuring clients fully understand system features and functionality.
Support client training and onboarding for new users or process updates.
Identify opportunities to streamline client processes or improve tax data accuracy through better system usage or internal collaboration.
Document and maintain best practices, SOPs, and reference materials for client use and internal training.
Partner with internal departments—including Accounting, Implementation, and Product teams—to resolve issues and enhance service quality.
Proactively identify process or system issues affecting enterprise clients and recommend solutions.
Participate in special projects and initiatives designed to enhance client experience, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Escalate potential compliance risks or complex issues to management as appropriate.
Minimum of 2 years of payroll tax filing and/or payment experience, preferably supporting large or multi-state employers.
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance and agency requirements.
Experience in enterprise-level payroll environments (e.g., 1,000+ employees or multi-EIN organizations) preferred.
Prior experience with PEO or HCM platforms preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate complex tax issues clearly and professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Outlook, Salesforce, and payroll/tax software systems.
Ability to balance multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The base range for this role is $33.00-38.00 per hour depending upon level of experience.
