Key Activities / Role and Responsibilities
Design the operation under the direction of the team lead.
Prepare an operational planning document based on the mission conceptual design document.
Propose requirement for satellite and ground systems from an operational perspective.
Promote the preparation of documents necessary for operation (operation plan, operation procedures, and operation rules).
Conduct technical coordination with satellite system engineers, ground system engineers, customers and other relevant parties to gather information necessary for operation and reflect it in the operational design.
Develop the necessary tools for operational design.
Develop a plan for validation of operational procedures.
Prepare for external and internal review meetings on the operation.
Plan, prepare, and execute training and rehearsals for operational personnel.
Lead the execution of post-launch satellite operations and coordinate with relevant parties.
Manage planning of actual operations after satellite launch (path assignment, setting of operational details for each path).
Participate as a member of a shift team of satellite operations after the satellite launch.
Review contracts with outside suppliers and contractors.
Required
Hands-on experience in the operation or development of large HW systems (e.g. control systems for satellites, aircraft and railways, real-time operation systems in factories, etc.) such as satellites and aircrafts
Experience in creating operation documents (operation handbooks, plans, procedures, etc.) for large HW systems such as satellites and aircrafts
Familiarity with English communication in a working environment
Native level of Japanese or JLPT N1 level
Ability to identify problems, analyze causes, and implement solutions
Good communication skills for team play
Willingness to take on new challenges
Preferred
Experience in operations of rendezvous and docking missions
Experience in satellite operation design and planning
Work experience in satellite and spacecraft operations or development
Working knowledge of ground systems for satellite operations
Experience in developing operational simulators
Knowledge of orbital mechanics
First-class Technical Radio Operator for On-The-Ground Services
Work experience in a cross-cultural environment
