Key Activities, Role, and Responsibilities:
- Lead and find opportunities to contract and liaise with Government of Japan; including mainly Ministry of Defense, and all other target customers, create business leads, and lead contracts acquisition relevant to on-orbit servicing.
- Generate, develop, and plan communication strategies to collaborate with Government of Japan, industry customers, and partners.
- Proactively execute sales activities including engagement and coordination with the business leads, customers, and partners.
- An excellent "sales/marketing style" in bid production which can be used to convey the selling points of the business, and to construct competitive but deliverable bids.
- Any other tasks instructed by the reporting manager.
Mandatory Requirements:
- At least 5 years' experience in solution sales or business development in the space industry.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills including to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Native Japanese or Japanese language skills equivalent to JLPT N1.
- TOEIC score of 700 or above or equivalent English language skills (score submission not required).
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience of sales or business development on GEO missions.
- An understanding of the JAXA and Japanese government ecosystem.
- Experience of working with sensitive information in terms of security, technical information management, export control, etc., which requires handling and consideration of sensitive information.
- Basic knowledge of debris removal, EOL (End-of-Life), and on-orbit services.
