✨ About The Role
- Design, evaluate, and test thermal solutions for electronic chips to full spacecraft thermal vacuum tests
- Conduct thermal analysis on various hardware components such as propulsion components, batteries, electronics, RF components, mechanisms, and printed circuit boards
- Develop and implement thermal control techniques using passive and active methods to ensure performance margins, resource use, risk, cost, and schedule are balanced
- Plan and execute thermal vacuum testing and verification at both component and spacecraft levels
- Collaborate with integration and test teams to ensure thermal design intent is met and assist in the installation of thermal hardware
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced thermal engineer with a background in thermal analysis and thermally-constrained design, preferably with computational thermal design experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on testing experience, especially in spacecraft or printed circuit board thermal mitigation
- Proficient with mechanical CAD and a passion for hardware development in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the growth of the team through recruiting and hiring
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or physics required, advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
