✨ About The Role
- Responsible for establishing phase gates at suppliers for new product introduction and production, ensuring successful ramp-up to full rate production
- Collaborate with design engineers to capture requirements and implement appropriate inspection processes at suppliers and internally
- Conduct supplier audits and qualification activities to certify contract manufacturers for flight hardware production
- Analyze quality and delivery metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in supplier processes
- Work with suppliers to ensure capacity for upcoming programs and drive supplier selection to ensure high quality for product lines
âš¡ Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, design engineering, quality engineering, or supply chain engineering roles with 3-4 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and manufacturing principles such as machining and assembly
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Familiarity with supplier quality processes and certifications, including production part approval process and first article inspection reports
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time and work extended hours to meet critical deadlines
