✨ About The Role
- Design, evaluate, and test thermal solutions ranging from electronic chips to full spacecraft thermal vacuum tests
- Identify feasible thermal architectures and mature designs through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases
- Perform thermal analysis on various hardware components such as propulsion components, batteries, electronics, RF components, mechanisms, and printed circuit boards
- Develop processes and procedures for integration and assembly to ensure thermal design intent is met
- Plan and run thermal vacuum testing and verification at the component and spacecraft level
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced thermal engineer with 5-8 years in a relevant industry role, preferably with spacecraft or printed circuit board thermal mitigation experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on testing experience
- Proficient in thermal analysis and thermally-constrained design, with a passion for hardware development in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to mentor and support junior engineers, as well as assist in recruiting and hiring additional team members
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or physics required, with a preference for computational thermal design experience
