- As an RF Engineer at Astranis, you will be tasked with the design, qualification, and procurement of active RF electronics for satellite payloads.
- Your role will involve designing, simulating, implementing, and measuring active and passive RF sub-systems at microwave frequencies.
- You will handle hardware designs from the requirements definition through manufacturing, bring-up, and qualification testing.
- Part of your responsibilities will include integrating these systems into the spacecraft by collaborating closely with the rest of the engineering team.
- You will specify, procure, and integrate third-party vendor hardware into the systems you design.
- The role also involves contributing to the team's growth by assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional team members.
- You will be joining a mission-driven company focused on connecting billions of people worldwide who currently lack internet access.

âš¡ Requirements
- You should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or an equivalent field.
- A passion for hardware development and experience working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- You must have at least 6 years of experience, indicating a senior level of expertise in the field.
- Deep knowledge of fundamental RF concepts, including RF circuit analysis, amplifier design, noise, linearity, and radio architectures is required.
- Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing RF hardware for microwave frequencies is a must.
- You should have seen a product through from concept to production.
- Proficiency with RF simulation tools such as ADS, Cadence, HFSS, etc., and PCB design, layout, and simulation with tools like Altium is expected.
- You should be comfortable working closely with a team of mechanical, payload systems, electrical, and software engineers.
- Experience with high reliability electronics for harsh environments, such as space or automotive, would be a significant advantage.
