- Complete ownership of product outcomes for spaceflight hardware, including developing requirements, mechanical design, and analysis of complex assemblies - Define design best practices for future programs and manage system level schedule and integration requirements for subsystems - Collaborate with other teams at Astranis to bring new systems and improvements to life, while mentoring and training junior engineers - Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to the rapidly-growing team - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and rewarding work environment

âš¡ Requirements

- Experienced mechanical or aerospace engineer with 5-8 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in spacecraft or aerospace engineering - Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on testing experience, with a passion for hardware development in a fast-paced environment - Ability to mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance and leadership on complex projects - Proficient in CAD design (Solidworks) and Finite Element analysis (Femap, Ansys), with experience in designing for manufacturability - Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent
