Microsoft Exchange Engineer

The position is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization's Microsoft Exchange environment. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of email systems and related messaging infrastructure. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business operations and drive continuous improvement in messaging services.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Exchange Server environments (on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based).
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of Exchange servers and messaging services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to email delivery, mailbox access, and system performance.
  • Implement and manage email security policies, including spam filtering, malware protection, and data loss prevention.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure compliance and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support integration with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for messaging systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to helpdesk and end-users regarding email-related issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in messaging technologies and security.
