Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web applications, APIs, and backend services to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated end-to-end test cases using WebDriverIO with JavaScript.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure test coverage for new and existing features.
• Execute API testing (REST and/or GraphQL) using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
• Maintain and improve the existing automation framework for scalability and efficiency.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and reporting activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.
• Stay up to date with automation tools, techniques, and best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance roles (manual + automation).
• Strong manual testing skills, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Mandatory experience in API testing (REST/GraphQL) with tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in automation scripting, ideally with WebDriverIO and JavaScript.
• Candidates with Selenium in Java or C# are welcome if they can quickly adapt to WebDriverIO/JS.
• Understanding of E2E test design and implementation strategies.
• Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced English.
