Security/ Facility Operations Assistant

The purpose of the Security/ Facility Operations Assistant is to provide overall Security and general facilities support, under the guidance of the Security Operations Manager.

This position will work to provide a safe and secure work environment with an emphasis on the protection of people, property, products, and information from both internal and external threats. This is an unarmed Security position.

Responsibilities include:

1. Monitoring and implementing established security and facility policies and procedures to all employees, guests, and vendors which includes providing access capabilities, identification badges for control entry to the facility, and monitoring the facility and perimeter parking areas.
2. Making routine checks of the facility ensuring safety and security. Completing interior and exterior building patrols 3-4 times each shift, noting any irregularities. Checking all secured areas including computer and data rooms, and electrical closets throughout AssistRx property.
3. Training and working within the Brivo security database or similar. Loading access cards in the system when required, adding/deleting access as needed. Being able to run database reports when requested by the department Security Manager. Working with established access groups within the security database.
4. Providing assistance in all emergency situations such as fire alarms, tornado warnings, medical emergencies, etc. Serving as the point of contact and chief warden during drills and live emergency situations at the facility. Being familiar with all assembly areas and escape routes, and coordinating drills annually.
5. Assisting HR and Security management on termination requests. Prepared to standby and give assistance as needed. Keeping Security Management appraised and updated on all situations involving terminations. Ensuring terminations are escorted from the building and leave the property.
6. The ability to generate and submit security incident reports as needed. Reports must be written and turned into Security Management in a timely manner.
7. Able to perform all aspects of the CCTV system within the facility. Must be able to monitor and pull recorded video when requested by Security Management. The officer may be requested to pull video to send to the Security Manager (only) for review.
8. Providing daily checks of the facility CCTV system.
9. Must be able to take instructions and complete tasks as needed.
10. Flexible to work overtime with the ability to stand post for long periods of time when needed.
11. Assisting with generating facility Work Orders and providing the necessary follow-up until the work order is completed.
12. General customer service work that involves greeting and assisting visitors, employees, and vendors.
13. Performing any necessary follow-up tasks to ensure the facility is secure.
14. Performing the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, warehousing, and supplies inventory management, if necessary.
15. Processing incoming and outgoing UPS, Fed-Ex, courier deliveries etc. and delivering packages and boxes to office recipients.
16. Providing general facility support by fulfilling routine light maintenance work, room set up, for meetings and assisting in moving office equipment and furniture when requested.
