CUI Line Lift/Scaffolding Technician

The CUI Line Lift/Scaffolding Technician is responsible for building, dismantling scaffolds along with setting crib stacks and lift jacks to allow for insulation removal and corrosion inspection of piping systems.

Essential duties include:

  • Must have experience, knowledge, and skill set to operate hand and power tools.
  • Must have experience and knowledge to read maps and drawings to locate and identify inspection locations.
  • Must have the ability to work at heights up to 50'.
  • Must have the ability to safely and responsibly operate various types of tundra vehicles and equipment.
  • Must have experience and knowledge working with Systems scaffolding as well as tube and clamp scaffolding.
  • Must have the ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs across tundra and or multiple flights of stairs.
  • Must have the ability to shovel snow up to 4 feet deep.
  • Must be a team player, problem solver and take pride in your work.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.

Required experience includes:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid (U.S issued) Driver's License is required.
  • A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
  • The ability to work 80.5 a week on a 2x2 or 3x3 rotation is required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a CUI Line Lift/Scaffolding Technician is required.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Three (3) or more years of experience working as a CUI Line Lift/Scaffolding Technician specifically in the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is preferred.

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee's ability to safely meet job standards.
