Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Life Sciences, Crop Care business. This position will be located virtually in the Northeast or Mid-East regions of the U.S. The account manager will cover all of the US and Canada. This position will report to Business Director, Crop Care.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver business objectives for the assigned territory and accounts, including sales volume, revenue, and profit targets.
- Drive new product introduction (NPI) to meet sales targets and ensure timely market entry.
- Proactively gather customer insights regarding strategy, product launches, and market needs.
- Coordinate project activities with customers on product applications and development, working closely with R&D to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Contribute to regional strategy and business planning, providing insights and implementing plans accordingly.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting on a quarterly and monthly basis.
- Manage customer product quality and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and satisfaction.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- A minimum of a BS degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to drive business success.
- At least 5 years of sales/marketing experience with a proven track record of execution, ideally within the adjuvant Agrochemical business.
- Deep industry knowledge of the Crop Care and seed coating sector, including key market players, trends, and strategies.
- A proven ability to build strong customer relationships and foster long-term partnerships.
- A dynamic and proactive mindset with a strong hunter mentality to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Experience in new product development, collaborating with R&D, marketing, and operations teams to drive innovation.
- 30-40% travel, US and Canada.
