Marketing And Communications Intern

The Marketing and Communications intern works with a creative and driven team to grow the Ascensus brand and help Americans save for the future. Responsibilities include content development for internal and external communications, proofreading, market research, social media support, project reporting, and assistance with the final preparation and revisions of marketing materials. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure and experience in a broad range of marketing activities.

Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Write and edit digital and print content (e.g., web, email, brochures)
• Coordinate with the design team to visualize content
• Brainstorm new marketing ideas and opportunities
• Prepare promotional presentations
• Conduct market research and analysis
• Update and fact check content
• Complete weekly project reporting
• Assist with maintaining social media presence
• Serve as a resource for the team for general operational and administrative support

Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passionate about the marketing industry and best practices
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Creative thinker
• Strong attention to detail
• Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus
• Familiarity with marketing software and online applications (e.g. CRM, CMS tools; online analytics) a plus
• Current enrollment in a related BA/BS or Masters program
