Patient Service Representative

Cardiology Position

Work in a customer service capacity providing administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting patients and visitors, checking patients in and out, and obtaining necessary documentation.
• Verifying and entering demographic information. Obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations/precertification.
• Completing medical record release requests and scheduling/confirming patient appointments.
• Entering, reviewing, and submitting charges for patient procedures and services daily.
• Collecting co-payments and reconciling all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
• Providing general office and clerical support to assigned area.

Requirements:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
