Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the development of local business strategy and compile and agree local business plans which support regional and global strategy.

• Ensures the production of clear and actionable business plans and objectives.

• Establish, energise, and develop a team capable of developing and delivering agreed business plans and objectives.

• Leads and orchestrates the bidding process for major local projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders and ensures the successful and profitable acquisition of targeted business opportunities.

• Maintains a strategic overview of the local business assigned to him and ensures that Arup is positioned to bid for identified opportunities.

• Develops external business networks and proactively seek opportunities to project Arup's brand and capability to assist the development and positioning of Arup's business in the country.

• Develops effective working relationships with Practice Leaders to ensure local business needs are understood and effectively reflected in people/resourcing strategies.

• Contributes to and leverages off Arup's global and regional business capability and networks.

• Work with Practices and operational management to ensure the availability and deployment of capable resource to meet sold business needs.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Degree in architect/Structural engineering or related discipline.

• Licensed Structural Engineer in Korea or overseas is preferred.

• At least 12-15 years' experience in structural design of high rise buildings, industrial structures, retrofit and rehabilitation projects from a renowned engineering consulting/construction firm.

• Experience in design, calculations, analysis, specifications, seismic design of building structures.

• Proficient in Autocad, Revit Structure, STAAD Pro, SAP, ETABS, SAFE, PCA Col and other similar structural design/construction software.

• Should possess strong leadership and organizational skills that he/she is capable of leading a team of young and dynamic engineers.

• Demonstrated strong negotiation skills and can deal well with clients locally and internationally.

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Korean. Ability to speak additional Asian languages would be an advantage.
