We are currently seeking a Rail Engineer to work within a multidisciplinary team (in North; based in any of, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Belfast/York, Manchester, Leeds) delivering a portfolio of exciting, varied rail projects as part of an established and successful Rail Business across the UK, Europe and North America.
You will be part of a team responsible for successfully delivering our design commissions for our significant clients, including Network Rail, contractors and other agencies such as Train Operators, Councils, Passenger Transport Executives and government agencies.
Current multidisciplinary projects include; Station design and masterplanning, Transpennine Route Upgrade, Depot remodelling, Electrification and associated decarbonisation projects. Signalling renewals and numerous GRIP Stage 1-8 commissions for Network Rail and National Transport Bodies.
We are looking for a Multi-disciplined rail engineer with relevant experience to be an integral part of our UK Rail team. With a motivation to tackle interesting problems, finding innovative and sustainable solutions and deliver meaningful work with successful client outcomes.
Ensuring the successful management and delivery of technically excellent multidisciplinary rail projects and bids across our UK Rail portfolio, you will be responsible for, and typical activities will include:

The position offers scope for personal skill development, especially concerning increasing multidisciplinary engineering design management experience. The focus will be on developing engineering design management skills and the collaborative integration of multidisciplinary designs in a stimulating and challenging project environment.
