As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will join a multidisciplinary team of talented engineers and mentors, working on iconic projects that contribute to the sustainable development of our cities. The Opportunity

Launch your engineering career by working on complex, real-world projects that are transforming cities and communities. As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:

  • Assist in sustainable building design, focusing on carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and resilience.
  • Develop your 3D modeling skills using BIM/CAD software, creating designs that meet high sustainability standards.
  • Contribute to mechanical load calculations, energy modeling, and the design of HVAC systems, energy storage, and renewable energy solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and electrical engineers, to deliver integrated, impactful solutions.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, and project workshops to gain hands-on experience and industry exposure.

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for graduates who are passionate about sustainability and creating a better future through innovative engineering. To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Currently pursuing, or recently graduated with, a degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (HBO level or higher).
  • Strong command of both Dutch and English (oral and written).
  • A passion for designing sustainable, resilient buildings that make a positive impact on the environment.
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international environment.
