As a Fire Engineering Analyst at Arup, you will apply advanced computational tools to solve complex fire safety challenges across buildings, transport, and infrastructure projects. You will translate detailed numerical analyses into clear, technically robust insights that inform safe, innovative design. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will help shape performance-based fire safety strategies that have real-world impact.

The Opportunity

Undertake computational fluid dynamics (CFD) fire modelling, evacuation modelling, and other computer-based analyses

Produce concise, technically sound reports that clearly summarise analysis methods, assumptions, and results

Troubleshoot and resolve fire modelling hardware and software issues to ensure reliable project delivery

Collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to develop fire safety strategies for mixed-use buildings, transport, and infrastructure

Contribute to the continuous improvement of modelling workflows, tools, and best practices within the team

Is This Role Right For You?

A degree in Science or Engineering, with a strong foundation in fluid dynamics and heat transfer

Advanced numerical and computational skills, with a strong analytical mindset

Experience and familiarity with CFD fire modelling, including pre-processing and post-processing

Outstanding business-level written and verbal English communication skills

Proficiency in Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Revit) within a BIM environment
