Data Engineer – Platform & Product
We are seeking a skilled and solution-oriented Data Engineer to contribute to the development of our growing Data Engineering function. This role will be instrumental in designing and optimizing data workflows, building domain-specific pipelines, and enhancing platform services. The ideal candidate will help evolve our Snowflake-based data platform into a scalable, domain-oriented architecture that supports business-critical analytics and machine learning initiatives.
Responsibilities
The candidate is expected to:
- Design and build reusable platform services, including pipeline frameworks, CI/CD workflows, data validation utilities, data contracts, lineage integrations
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for sourcing, transforming, and delivering trusted datasets into Snowflake
- Partner with Data Domain Owners to onboard new sources, implement data quality checks, and model data for analytics and machine learning use cases
- Collaborate with the Lead Data Platform Engineer and Delivery Manager to deliver monthly feature releases and support bug remediation
- Document and promote best practices for data pipeline development, testing, and deployment
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:
- 3-6 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
- Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- Demonstrated experience building pipelines and services on Snowflake or other modern cloud data platforms
- Understanding of data quality, validation, lineage, and schema evolution
- Background in financial or market data (trading, pricing, benchmarks, ESG) is a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a passion for enabling domain teams
