As a software engineering intern at Artefact, you will be integrated into a development team and will actively participate in the design and implementation of robust and scalable technical solutions. Under the supervision of your tutor, your missions will be as follows:

• Software Architecture: Contribute to the reflection on the architecture of our applications, ensuring the performance and maintainability of the code
• Deployment and Operations (DevOps): Automation of tests and cloud deployments with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), packaging applications in containers (e.g., Docker), implementation of data observability tools (e.g., DBT)
• Deployment of your software on the cloud: GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Deployment of one or more technical expertise: Software development, analytical engineering, ML engineering, cloud architecture, or site security and reliability engineering
• Technological Watch: Explore new technologies and tools to optimize our working methods.

Profile Sought

• Education: You are a final year student in engineering, Master 2, or equivalent, with a specialization in software engineering, computer science, or web development, and you are looking for your final internship starting from January 2026
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: such as Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), Go, or Scala.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and/or functional programming.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with the Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is an asset.
• Knowledge of versioning tools, particularly Git.
• Personal Qualities:
• Curiosity and proactivity: You are eager to learn and propose new ideas.
• Rigor and attention to detail: You are careful to produce clean and quality code.
• Team spirit: You are able to work collaboratively and communicate with various profiles (Data Scientists, Consultants, etc.)
• Fluent French to work in a team and professional English for our international clients

Onboarding process:

The integration includes training on critical transversal skills such as time management, oral and written communication. A mentor will also be assigned to guide you in familiarizing yourself with the company’s culture and working methods. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on internal projects to gain practical experience and refine your skills. Moreover, you will have the chance to obtain certifications on cloud providers before working on client projects. This integration process is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful software engineer at Artefact.
