Agentic Engineer/Full Stack Architect

Location: Remote

Salary Range: C$80 -C$100/Hr Duration: 3 Months

Introduction

Responsible for SAS rationalization program technology transformation including technology architecture determination, agentic and non-agentic framework usage for assessment, planning, conversion, and validation. Set the targets and transformation methods for the program meeting performance and ROI objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in architecting and engineering SAS to Python agentic conversion and testing, including functional and performance validation.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering agent configuration to run end-to-end workflow (discovery, code change, testing).
• Skilled in environment configuration and setup.
• Experience with source and destination data systems including DB2, IMS, Iceberg, as well as mainframe and cloud environments including OpenShift, NFS, JCL, Zeke.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in designing and providing oversight for critical PoC(s) demonstrating agentic value on key steps.
• Familiarity with Claude/Claude Code using markdown-defined agents/utilities, hooks/memory concepts.
• Understanding of the broader "classic automation" alongside agentic work to validate technology architectures.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Implement and validate agentic framework for the in-scope "Enablement Design Pattern" such as Critical DB2 to Python.
• Lead in scope discovery, inventory for business case support, and roadmap sequencing.
• Effect the end-to-end operationalization of the design pattern selecting sufficient and representative SAS systems for conversion.
