Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer is a hands-on problem solver and process optimizer responsible for driving operational excellence. This role applies Lean manufacturing principles, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Industrial Engineer leads initiatives that enhance productivity, eliminate waste, and enable sustainable, high-efficiency operations aligned with company goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lean and Continuous Improvement
- Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and waste elimination projects.
- Establish standard work, visual management, and 5S systems to sustain performance.
- Apply Lean tools such as Kanban and root cause analysis to reduce downtime and cost.
- Process Optimization
- Analyze cycle time, scrap, and yield data to identify and implement process improvements.
- Optimize layouts, workflows, and ergonomics for productivity and safety.
- Support automation, additive manufacturing, and modern tools that enhance efficiency.
- Align new equipment requirements with operational workflows, performance targets, and maintenance needs to ensure seamless implementation.
- Technical Problem Solving
- Diagnose and correct process or equipment issues to ensure consistent quality.
- Partner with safety, operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering to implement robust solutions.
- Ensure processes meet design intent, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Collaboration and Project Leadership
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to align improvement goals.
- Lead cross-functional projects from concept to implementation with clear metrics.
- Support sourcing, proposals, and technical documentation to ensure manufacturability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with application of Lean production methodologies, including pull systems and kanbans, to smooth production flow and meet takt.
- Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Green Belt or Lean Professional certification preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.

Education & Professional Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4-year degree in industrial engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience in an engineering role in a lean manufacturing environment.
Work Hours & Travel
- 4/10 work week M-Th and ability to support off-hours periodically as production needs require.
