Job Qualifications
As a Sr. Wireless System Test Engineer, you will participate in:
- Conducting wireless product testing in controlled wireless environments.
- Performing wireless product testing under real-world conditions.
- Utilizing tools such as Wireshark, Iperf, Keysight Current Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and others.
- Creating detailed wireless test reports using MS Office, Jira, Confluence, and other tools.
- Log and track issues using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Contributing to the design and development of wireless test systems and fixtures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Chipset vendor, firmware, and software groups to ensure test coverage and product quality.
The following qualifications are mandatory for all candidates:
- BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent experience.
- In-depth understanding of telecommunications and wireless/cellular systems.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MQTT, and experience with Wireshark log analysis.
- At least 5 years of experience, either professional or academic.
- Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in analyzing wireless traffic using tools like Wireshark.
The following skills are also highly desired and are considered a plus:
- Strong understanding of one or more wireless standards, including WLAN (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), SubG, Thread, Z-Wave, Cellular (3G/4G/5G), DECT, and Bluetooth (BT).
- Basic soldering and assembly skills.
- Experience with basic RF/wireless test equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Vector Network Analyzers, RF High-Impedance Probes, Function Generators, Oscilloscopes, and Multimeters.
- Python scripting, NI LabVIEW, Omni Peek/Wireshark, and other test automation tools.
The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between $115,000-145,000/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience.
