Position Summary:

• Reviews and processes purchase and travel requisitions to ensure compliance with policies, accuracy of information, and availability of funds.
• Coordinate travel accommodations for ATU-Ozark employees.
• Ensure all travel reimbursements are processed in accordance with ATU policies and State of Arkansas procurement guidelines.
• Identifies appropriate vendor sources and evaluates product availability to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Provide administration, staff, faculty, and other departments with information on purchasing, travel, and accounts payable policies and procedures.
• Complete monthly reconciliation of ATU-Ozark Purchase and Travel Card accounts.
• This position also serves as backup for the Student Accounts role during absences due to illness or vacation.
• Directly engaged in the fiscal year-end process during June and July to ensure deadlines set by the State of Arkansas and ATU are met.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve fiscal and procedural issues.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and fiscal procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply institutional, state, and federal policies.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively and provide support across multiple departments and campuses.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years of experience in basic accounting, billing, or a related field. Additional requirements determined by the institution for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education. Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:

This position will be housed in an office environment located on the ATU - Ozark Campus of Arkansas Tech University with a work environment that is usually quiet.
