GovCIO is currently hiring a SME Computer User Support Specialist position for our US Coast Guard program. The position is fully remote. The responsibilities include gathering information concerning the capabilities of company products, investigating the technical capabilities of company products, and staying abreast of developments in hardware and software. The role also involves generating quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, ensuring requirements comply through formal verification methods, translating high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications, and working with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. Additionally, the role establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development, designs interfaces, and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. The specialist assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, serves as a customer liaison and support for business development activities, and coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment using knowledge of engineering and programming.
Qualifications required include a bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of system engineering experience, or commensurate experience, and clearance required up to an active Secret clearance M066.
