We are currently seeking a Project Engineer and a Sr. Project Engineer at our Jonesboro Technology Center. As a Research and Development Engineer specializing in Conveyor Systems, you will be a key contributor in the design and development of new conveyor systems and technology. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and a focus on advancing the efficiency and reliability of conveyor systems. As part of our R&D team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of material handling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop innovative conveyor system technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for advancements in conveyor design and functionality
• Lead the design and development of new conveyor systems or enhancements to existing systems
• Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design concepts and performance
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in conveyor systems and material handling
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies, such as automation, sensors, and data analytics, into conveyor systems
• Work on projects aimed at optimizing conveyor system layouts and processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to implement improvements in existing conveyor systems
• Manage R&D projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and/or external partners to align projects with business goals
• Adhere to Hytrol Product Development process to ensure the successful release of products developed
• Develop testing protocols to validate the performance and reliability of conveyor systems
• Analyze test results and iterate on designs to address any identified issues
• Create comprehensive documentation for R&D projects, including design specifications, test plans, and reports
• Ensure that all designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations
