The Materials Engineering Department, which functions within the Mechanical Products Team, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position will offer a qualified candidate the opportunity to perform mechanical testing and designing of fixtures to support development, design and failure analysis activities associated with a wide range of product applications. Work will require critical thinking to solve challenging problems and careful attention to detail on procedures, testing, analysis, and documentation. Collaboration with design, engineers, material engineers and subject matter experts from various disciplines is required. Candidate must be able to manage and coordinate a wide variety of tasks simultaneously within schedule requirements. This candidate will become part of a multi-disciplined team. Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in Instron or MTS load frames

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Fundamental principles of Mechanical Engineering with comprehensive knowledge in mechanics of materials
• Hands-on mechanically inclined problem solver
• Familiarity with stress/structural analysis
• Proficiency with instrumentation and data acquisition equipment
• Experience with LabView, MatLAB, and PTC Creo
• Understanding of ASTM test methods for mechanical testing
• Experience with general material testing/analysis using laboratory equipment
• Ability to write concise technical reports summarizing analyses
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, planning and time management skills
• ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
