Neighborhood Services Bar + Restaurant, the premier dining destination at Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team.
As an experienced Line Cook / Cook 1, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with Omni's standards. This position focuses on dinner service, so it is primarily a PM position.
+ Prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Chef de Cuisine, ensuring consistency and quality.
+ Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
+ Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
+ Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
+ Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking.
+ Execute precise knife skills, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
+ Monitor food quality while cooking and ensure proper seasoning and presentation.
+ Work efficiently to manage time and resources during busy dinner shifts.
+ Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
+ Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
+ Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant environment.
+ Expertise in elevated service is preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Present a calm demeanor and a positive attitude.
+ Flexibility to work PM shifts, including closing shifts, weekends, and holidays.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
Salary is $22 / hour.
