HR Coordinator

We are looking for a dedicated HR Coordinator to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support across various human resources functions, ensuring efficient and accurate resolution of employee inquiries and processing transactions. This is a long-term contract position within the telecom services industry, offering an opportunity to contribute to critical HR operations and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Manage employee records by responding to requests, scanning, uploading, and auditing documentation, as well as coordinating with off-site storage vendors.

- Efficiently handle a high volume of HR-related transactions, including payroll inquiries, benefits enrollment, and unemployment claims.

- Address employee and external inquiries with professionalism, ensuring accurate information and timely resolution.

- Support HR compliance activities, including I-9 documentation and adherence to corporate policies.

- Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives, contributing to process improvements and organizational goals.

- Utilize HR information systems to retrieve and update information, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

- Conduct background checks and assist with onboarding processes for new employees.

- Analyze payroll and benefits data using intermediate mathematical skills to ensure proper contributions and compliance.

- Apply critical thinking and independent judgment to resolve HR-related issues and interpret plan details.

- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders, demonstrating discretion and professionalism.

Requirements – High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional HR-related certifications are a plus.

- Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, with prior HR or related field experience strongly preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills to articulate information clearly and professionally.

- Ability to multitask across multiple systems and platforms to complete tasks efficiently.

- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address sensitive HR inquiries and interpret relevant policies.

- Familiarity with HR compliance requirements, including I-9 documentation and background checks.

- Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
