Customer Experience Specialist

The Customer Experience Specialist is within a call center environment, supporting the Consumer Direct Lending team. In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for consumers, guiding them through the loan origination process following discussions with licensed loan officers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a customer success advocate within a fast-paced call center
  • Responding promptly to high-volume inbound calls or texts from customers
  • Performing routine data entry and validating consumer information
  • Managing routine communication through calls, emails, and/or chat with consumers, PennyMac employees, and authorized third parties
  • Collaborating with internal departments to expedite loan processing and resolve customer issues
  • Maintaining alignment with company culture and values in daily tasks
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Required skills:

  • Strong customer service and support capabilities
  • Experience handling both inbound and outbound calls
  • Familiarity with the mortgage and financial services industry
  • Proficiency in loan servicing and document handling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a mortgage contact center (2022-2025 preferred)
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of calls
  • Reliable transportation; must live within ~20 minutes of the office
  • Willingness to work fully on-site and commit to consistent attendance
  • Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor

This is a contract to hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $23.00 – $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
