Systems Engineer (dod Clearance Required)

Job Posting: Systems Administrator

SSI needs to add a Systems Administrator to support our current list of services provided for the U.S. Navy, Surface Missile Technical Representative Office, Tucson Arizona. Responsibilities include: working as part of a team to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems with workstations, printers, and local area networking; installing operating systems and applications, applying system and software updates and patches manually and using automation, responding to IAVAs and IAVBs; deploying, updating and operating HBSS, A/V and anti-malware solutions; executing scans of incoming and outgoing media, performing data transfers and completing related documentation; provisioning and maintaining Microsoft Windows workstations and laptops according to existing standards, including creation and distribution of system images; performing user account creation and activation, password resets, privilege assignment, group membership management, and directory access control; authoring, assessing and updating Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO); and exercising solid interpersonal skills and technical aptitude to accomplish the mission. Acquire training and certifications that are reimbursed by the company.

Requirements include: active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS clearance is a MUST; Security+ certifications or equivalent for DoD 8570 compliance; 4+ years’ experience in Windows System Administration to include: Windows Active Directory, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Windows 10/11, and Microsoft Office suite; understanding of Microsoft Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP); experience with backup solutions such as NetBackup, BackupExec or Arcserve; familiarity with application, desktop and/or server virtualization; and maintain/apply STIGs and patches/firmware updates. Experience installing operating systems and applications, applying system and software updates and patches manually and with automation, responding to IAVAs and IAVBs.
