Plant Engineering Technician (Cad Designer)

The Plant Engineering Technician (CAD) is responsible for providing comprehensive engineering support throughout the design process. This role requires offering technical assistance within the organization to ensure optimal product functionality, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction. Key duties include manipulating design systems to generate standard and custom drawings and reports, creating production shop drawings, and assisting in product design and functionality development. The role demands confidence and proficiency in reviewing, documenting, and maintaining essential product design standards and engineering change notifications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support throughout the design process.
• Offer technical support to ensure product functionality, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.
• Manipulate design systems to produce both basic and custom drawings and reports.
• Create drawings for the production shop.
• Assist with the development of product design and functionality.
• Review, document, and maintain product design standards and engineering change notifications.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency with design systems.
• Proficiency with Product Design Standards (PDS) and Engineering Change Notifications (ECN).
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and adjusting blueprints and schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Experience with schematic design.

Work Environment:

The position operates on a weekday schedule, from Monday to Friday, starting between 6:00 am and 7:00 am.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, AZ.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
