This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role focused heavily on project and vendor management, not traditional engineering. Candidates must be assertive, self-driven, and able to manage aggressive timelines, enforce SLAs, and validate civil engineering designs using tools (ESRI-based GIS). The role is primarily remote with occasional field visits (2–3 days/month), and ideal candidates will have 5–10 years of experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with vendors such as NBNC, Centerline, and Squan.

Permitting and municipal coordination experience – ability to work directly with city officials to resolve design conflicts and expedite approvals. Knowledge of fiber construction standards and constraints – understanding of conduit packages, setbacks, and utility conflicts. Experience with redlining and reviewing vendor-submitted designs – ensuring accuracy before submission to municipalities. Strong organizational and time management skills – capable of juggling multiple projects and deadlines. Comfort with remote collaboration tools – Teams, Outlook, shared drives, etc. Adaptability and willingness to travel occasionally – even in a primarily remote role, flexibility is key. Experience in telecom or fiber network deployment – especially in fast-paced, growth environments.
