Nature of Work: Under supervision, performs social or health service work of routine difficulty in providing in-home services, transportation services, or delivering "meals on wheels" to eligible clients. The ideal candidate has a kind heart and a passion for serving homebound older adults in our community. This is a temporary on-call position.

Typical Duties (Illustrative Only):

• Assists eligible clients, which may include household duties, chores, and errands in the community, transporting passengers to appointments
• Reports unusual circumstances or problems observed with clients
• May handle small amounts of money for client shopping and laundry
• May handle donations
• May provide social and emotional support and services as an advocate for recognized client needs

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: driving; sitting to drive a van; working with and around others; communicating with team members, clients, etc.; vision acuity (near and far) for driving; hearing and speech for ordinary conversation. Environmental factors include: driving in all types of weather; exposure to weather while delivering meals to clients' homes; and outside driving route 90% of the time.
