The Capital Portfolio Support Manager provides leadership and oversight for teams responsible for Project Controls, Scheduling, Forecasting, Billing and Project Close-out. Delivers strategic guidance and operational support across the capital construction portfolio of projects and programs, ensuring timely, efficient, high-quality and cost-effective project execution. Fosters team development through effective staffing, training, supervision, coaching and performance management.
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting or other job-related field from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of relevant experience in operations, construction, accounting and/or customer service within the utility or a related industry. In lieu of Bachelors degree, high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of experience in operations, construction, accounting or customer service within the utility or a related industry. Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory/management role.
Proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across APS and with external stakeholders. Strong financial acumen and decision-making capabilities. Adaptability to dynamic environments and shifting priorities across diverse projects. Expertise in project management and process improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet-based tools.

Hybrid: Employees in hybrid roles work both in their home offices (virtually) and alongside their colleagues (in person). In order for employees to build strong relationships and to promote meaningful in-person interactions, hybrid employees are expected to work about 40% of their time in-person at an APS or other (non-home office) location. Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees). Working from a home office requires adequate technology and an appropriate ergonomic set up.
